Cookies in the app

The Mursten app does not use browser cookies for tracking.

The app stores local settings, caches, drafts, read status and login-related information on the device in order to make features work and make the app faster.

Cookies on the website

mursten.app uses no cookies or other technologies for analytics, advertising or tracking.

For the site to work, your browser stores a few things locally in local storage, session storage and IndexedDB: your login session (Firebase Authentication), your choice of theme and language, which messages you have read, and drafts you have not sent yet. You can remove them by clearing site data for mursten.app in your browser.

If you sign in with an SMS code, we use Google reCAPTCHA to prevent abuse. reCAPTCHA sets cookies and processes information about your browser under Google's privacy policy. This only happens for SMS sign-in.

Maps are shown with Apple MapKit JS, which loads the map directly from Apple. Read more in the privacy policy.

External links

If you open external links, mail apps or websites from Mursten, those services may use their own cookies or similar technologies. They are not controlled by the Mursten app.
